Basically I bought a directory which is a .exe file and a .dll file, I want to extract the data out of the directory to spreadsheet, is that possible at all?

If it is a commercial package I would imagine that the data is encoded to stop you doing just that, also it may well be in contravention of the software license.

is there anything that can read a screen and convert it to text?

I guess you could printscreen > save > OCR but it would be pretty long winded. How much data are we talking about?

edit/ I'm assuming the program does not have an Export function?

There is maybe 4-500 hospitals in there.

this data will probbably be too hard to extract.

An OCR package would do it but it would take forever tbh, and would need a lot of manual editing anyway.

From the CMA website:

NB: the CD is for reference purposes only and cannot be used for Mailings or other uses.

So unless it was for personal use only your treading on stony ground. To be perfectly honest you would be better scanning in the book rather than trying to extract the data from the CD (assuming you bought them both) This of course is probably against their copyright as well.

(Sorry, I'm not being a lot of help)
