Dlna question

Hi all, I've just bought ac TV that is DLNA enabled , now if I connect it to my router via ethernet would if work ( as opposed to putting a wireless dongle in it ). It's my understanding that dlna works through wifi so I'm guessing it should work.

That's how I've got mine connected, Wired direct into one of my HomeHub's LAN ports.

I used to have an Xperia Arc which had DLNA built in and it played Music and Movies to my TV (Sony 40" Bravia CX) with no problems!

Not tried to stream from my Nexus 4 yet! I need to find a decent DLNA program!

I stream stuff from my PC (using PS3 Media Server on Windoes 8.1.1) and it works like a dream!
