DLSS 4 worth it for a “touch” lower performance?

Hey guys..

Is it worth selling my 4070ti super for a 5070? Does the new DLSS 4 make it perform much better than the 4070ti super?
No, not for 5070, its barely an upgrade more of a side grade. Next up is either 5080 or second hand 4090 tbh they will give you a substantive increase in performance but both are bad price to performance, if you are desperate for a performance increase regardless but don't want to break the bank, then maybe a 9070XT but its not much faster than what you have and neither is the 5070Ti. Its bad time to upgrade, maybe wait for a possible 5080Ti if you in no rush to upgrade but NVIDIA is pricing things stooopidly.

having said that the 5080 are overclocking really well and some have managed to get their cards close to 4090 performance but obviously not a guarantee.

That would be a downgrade if anything downgrading from 16gb to 12gb and losing some performance, you do realise you still get the best of dlss4 just not Multi Frame Generation which most want to avoid using anyway

Add me to the list of absolutely not, don't do it! Sidegrade at best, downgrade at worst. You'll already have the best of what DLSS4 brings (transformer upscaling model), assuming the newer drivers are stable for you.

16Gb to 12Gb is a big no, you'll sacrifice IQ for a currently broken Nv Multi Frame Gen.

You can get the Lossless scaling app on Steam, costs about £6, it'll do as much multi frame gen that you can throw at it.
