DLSS is Dead?

I prefer Native 4k thanks, you can have your dlss and ris and whatever image sharpening you want and I'll take just native.

Same here, but still nice to have if needed and I am happy they are available.

Don't think DLSS dead, but unless they improve it more, it will be in a couple of years like PhysX. All depends on how much effort they put in in my opinion.

Which one is DLSS?

Got to love how sharp graphics have become important to many this past 6 or so months. I have been banging on about how sharp and great 4K looks since 2014 when I got my first 4K monitor and did a comparison with 1440p. But most people were like they cannot see the difference etc. This year I notice a lot more people have upgraded to 4K and see what I am talking about finally ;):D

It was always important. But people took having a sharp image for granted.

When games used some annoying effect which blurred things people always complained.

Don’t know man. There is even a thread that is about a year old where people still don’t get why higher resolutions like 4K are important to image quality. Lol.

It's just another tick box in the fanboy wars :p

I think image sharpness as more advanced, lower demand AA techniques have started to dominate like TAA or SMAA which are very lower cost compared to MSAA but do result in a somewhat softer image.

I would predict the higher performance is worth the softer image for most pc gamers.

I think these new features are great. If I'm playing on a 4K tv, if I'm using these features and running a lower res than native and with image quality to my eyes as good as 4k native but with higher performance, I then don't care if it's native or not, if it was 800x600 with some magic filter making it look like 4k I wouldn't care, it's all about image quality and performance.

I played guild wars 2 in 4K on my amd 290x back then it was epic - my first 4K screen cost $800 - the days when gaming monitors did not exist
