DVLA spelt my name wrong on the V5!

Oh dear, how have they managed this? I made sure my name was nice and clearly written, but they have misspelled my surname. Can this be changed over the phone, or do I have to send the V5 back? I guess this won't affect the number of registered owners too I hope?

Cheers,
Matt

Just ring them and moan. I am sure they will correct it without increasing the number of owners.

Last time I moved house I became the current owner & the previous owner on the V5!

they are notoriously useless over the phone.

make a photocopy of the V5, send the original back to them with a letter explaining why its there. Obviously include your real name.

Just give them a ring tomorrow and tell them. Must have been a typing error or they mis-read what you wrote.

It shouldn't affect no. of reg keepers and I'm sure they'll sort it out.

Theres a part of the V5 you need to fill in for this and then you can post it back. I had to do this as the dealer spelt my name wrong  took about 2 weeks to get back. It will not affect the number of owners.

You spell their name wrong, they'll spell yours wrong ;)

Hehe, whoops. They used to be the DVLC didn't they?

Ill give them a bell tomorrow just to double check, and ill get the form off. Thanks for the replies.
