Hey all,

I'm confused as hell as to what all these different types of panels are.

I am looking at the 24" BenQ monitors, E2420HD, M2400HD in particular. I'm now confused as to the different types of panels available and how to tell.

I currently have an Acer p223W and this has been fine for me so far, does anybody know what type of screen this is?

Thanks guys :)

This article may be worth a read.

That Acer p223W uses a TN film panel.

If you are looking for a new monitor what is your approximate budget and likely uses? From that we can identify the best monitors for you.

Just realised I didn't put this in the monitor forum. My bad.

I wasn't planning an upgrade but I've seen these BenQ 24"ers for £160. I'd say my budget i s up to around £190/200.

I mainly use the screens just for desktop use, web browsing but I also game, mostly FPS and strategy games. I know the better panels would be better for shooters but the TN in the Acer has done me fine for UT3.

Thanks

Just read that link. Thanks, it clears up the confusion somewhat. I think the TN panel would be fine for me and they are the cheapest. I assume that all of those BenQ screens are TN panels.
