I want to get Devil May Cry 4 and I own both consoles. From what I gather there is very little difference between the two versions. Does anyone have any opinions on which version is better? I'm kind of tempted to get the PS3 version just so I have another game to play on it, but I suppose that's not really important. What's it like playing it with an Xbox 360 controller? Does having rumble add much to the game?

I was in your position and ended up getting the ps3 version because it was slightly cheaper then the 360 version. It was only a couple of quid though.

They are the same price where I normally buy games. Maybe I'll try the demos and see which plays better.

Another thing going for the PS3 version is that it works. The disc drive on my 360 is on it's way out.

I have both consoles now recently and I am beginning to hate having to decide between which one to get multi-platform games on. I love the achievements system on the 360 and I prefer the pad (although the PS3 pad isn't actually as bad as I first thought, once you get used to it)

I do feel that of the games I have played on both, the 360 versions always look better (IMO of course, COD4, BF:BC & GTA IV)

Graphically the games are about as identical as two games could get. The 360 has slightly better antialaisng, though the PS3 does not suffer from jaggies so it's not that much of a problem. Other differences include the PS3 having slightly improved load times but a large install. The PS3 does have much better controls and it's easier to play with the PS3 pad.

When playing as dante you need to make quick use of the d-pad to do any really good combos, so, PS3 as the 360 d-pad is shameful imo.

If youve played the previous titles then PS3 as the 360 pad will feel weird + Dpad. If you havent played the previous titles then PS3 as you get introduced to the characters from the previous games whilst installing.
