Wow - didn't realise that this was coming to 360?! I was actually contemplating buying a PS3 with games like this coming out.... but seeing as I have a 360 and the game is being released on this format too... Saves me a bit of money

Confirmed for XBOX Live Giold members (EU/USA/JAP and more regions I guess)

Confirmed for PSN members (JAPAN and USA stores only). I don;t care as i have accounts for all regions, but it is a continuing annoying trend for EU PSN store

(ironically most 360 users are silver so they will actually only get it one the 31st as well, assuming there is still 1 week delay of demos between Gold and Silver members).

In effect, it's probably because they have to compile the code again to include PAL 576i/p resolution (and possibly the different Euro languages). USA and JP are both NTSC.

Yeah but then how come stuff like Uncharted demo works in all regions, regardless where you get it. I think it is just down to the laziness of the EU PSN. I have no major issue with it, it's just they said in 2008 they would start to make an effort to make all the regionalised stores similar and it is only the EU one getting neglected.

Hmm, my reason above is probably not right - I reckon it's more to do with the multiple certifications that the demo has to get in Europe. In USA it's just ESRB, Japan CERO but in Europe you've got BBFC, USK, blah blah blah blah blah.
