DMG files on Win7.

Hi,

I have a.DMG file which i would like toget to work on my Win7 machine.

I have Virtual Box but i have no idea how to use this. If anyone does that would be great.

I have also tried to convert it to a .ISO file with IMGBurn, but i'm not sure if this is possible.

Any suggestions?.

A dmg file is a mac disk image. What is in it and what are you trying to do with it?

^ knowing what you want to do with the image and what it is an image of will help

Thanks, it's a game off our father in laws MAC.

I have now used 7-Zip and I'm now left with a 0.hfs file with other folders inside.

Best thing to do is use a Mac running OS X and convert it to UDTO (.iso) with hdiutil.

A quick bit of googling throws up dmg2iso but I haven't personally used it. However you won't be able to run a mac game on Windows even if you convert the files to something that Windows can read.

You might be able to run it under OSX in Virtualbox but I seem to recall that VB will only run OSX as a guest OS if the host is already running on a mac. You would certainly need a legal copy of OSX too.

Thanks all.

I have tried dmg2iso, but as you say it doesn't run at all.

Also, i did try Virtual Box, but again, as you say i need an OSX to put on there. In all honesty, i'm not sure i'm running VB 100% correct anyhoo.

Short answer is.. buy a mac, buy the game on that. Or buy the game on PC if it exists

Long answer is illegal and not worth the effort!
