Hi I have a computer that is showing the following error message when trying to boot up:

dmio.system corrupt

I tried a fresh install but this error keeps coming up.

Tried a new HD and this still comes up.

Reset the cmos and this still comes up.

Any suggestions guys???

Thanks

What O/S? Try repairing the installation by putting your O/S media into the computer :).

Tried repairing but it doesnt let me get that fair. Comes up with that error all the time.

I thought if i replaced the HD and fresh install this would work but it didnt.

Tried resetting cmos and internal battery. Still nothing.

How do I put my OS media onto the computer? Im not sure what you mean.

Did you get this problem solved cause one of my server machines MS2003 is displaying this message when trying to get into the recovery console while booting of the CD.

If there is a solution I would like to know so I can save some hours trying to solve it.

EDIT:

I can get around it by using the secondary HD.

Still stuck with the message on bootup 'Error loading operating system'.

Looks like its a case of backing up and reinstalling.

I am not sure if you can an old computer or not, someone suggested that I try replacing the cd drive. I am going try this. Driving me insane.

Had hard drive and ram out, new ram, new hard drive...still the same. Going to try the cd drive.

I tried to restore my image but made no difference. Still getting the 'Error loading operating system' message.

I'm wondering whether or not the actual hard disk controller is damaged on the mobo.

bloodline76 - If changing the CD drive, add it as the slave(secondary slave) and see if that works.

I have that board and very similar problems.

it turned out to be the board was overvolting my ram, and my ram coudln't take it. So i bought some different ram and it worked fine.

I tried the ram and that didnt do anything. Didnt get a chance to try cd drive yet. Glad I am not the only person with this annoying problem.

have you tryed different ram or just ran memtest?

because mine ran memtest and passed it and it was still the prob.

The Motherboard overvolts by 2volts its a design floor lots of these boards have this issue.
my ram could only take 1.8v no higher or lower. My new can take 1.9-2.1v, so with my minimum voltage being allowed in BIOS being 1.8 it's actually sitting at 2.0v due to overvoltage, which is ideal for my new ram.
