DMS Automotive

Friend has had his BMWs done there (he knew the owner or something). Spoke highly of them.
If I was having a BMW remapped it'd be between DMS and Evolve :).

Had a couple of BMW's done by them. Wasn't cheap, but good service and come and do it where you want, so haves a journey and hassle.

Not cheap at all, but good service. Risk is that the software can be detected by BMW. It has happened to a mate who's 1-series had a turbo failure. The guys in the workshop didn't apparently realise it, but it was patched into Germany who located whatever proof they needed to invalidate the warranty.

they claim their changes cannot be detected? BS detector is off the scale with that one

They probably just reset a flash counter. I would imagine its not hard to tell an ecu running different perameters compared to what it left the factory with.

I would expect they mean it won't get picked up on a service, if you go to a main dealer with a melted engine I'm 99.9% sure they would send the ecu off to be read or upload the data to a technical team. It's not as if remaps are uncommon ;)
