DNS Benchmark.

Hi guys,

I've recently been having a few dns issues so I switched to google's servers but the problems remain... I'm 99% sure the fault is with my current kit (2700hgv) but until I get my billion, I want to try out different things

According to dns benchmark (is this a valid tool?) my current google servers aren't the fastest available - comodo secure dns is. Is it worth giving 156.154.70.22 and 156.154.71.22 a go?

Yes.

I use Sky's default servers as they rank quicker than the google ones. Don't forget to check on different days and different times before picking the dns server.

The one at the top of the list might be fine in the week, but poor on the weekend etc

I've manually added the comodo servers in windows on my network adaptor... so far so good

Incidentally, will these manually added servers override my routers servers? The new ones appear in my ipconfig /all display.

Yeah, your PC will query those servers first.

You enter 2 addresses incase one fails etc
