We currently have a windows 2003 domain with 8 domain controllers that I am going to raise to a 2008 functional domain. We will be building new servers with 2008 R2 and prep the forest/domain etc. What are the benefits and drawbacks to running the DNS services on the domain controllers? Would you recommend it, recommend against it or do you think it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things?
