I have Gentoo installed on my Laptop and PC and am having problems with it. When browsing in Konqueror I receive an error - 'Unknown Host' every other page click; I can get around it by refreshing.
Occasionally, when downloading updates it will fail too. I do not have any problems when using Chromium however, which I believe is down to one of it's options which uses its own domain name resolver if mine fails.
I've tried the Gentoo forums, but the network one seems not to be very active and the advice I've had from an individual hasn't worked out.
I don't get this issue in Slackware or Windows 7, so it isn't anything to do with my router or hardware.
It's most likely something quite simple, but I don't know how to fix it.
Any ideas to get me going?
