I have entered my selected DNS into my router Billion as I have voip. Is there any advantage or disadvantage in also entering this on the puter TCP/ip or leaving "obtain dns automatically?
If the router is setup to give out ip address via DHCP then you don't need to do anything on the computer, as long as its setup properly on the router.
Generally I like my PC to use my ISP's DNS servers rather than my router due to larger DNS cache and slightly more control. You still only need to enter the details on the router though, just let it dish them out via DHCP.
