Anyone else having severe DNS problems with BE?
The default DNS servers are rubbish, it's well known.

However changing to opendns has made no difference. I have tried various random DNS servers that I have managed to google but im still suffering from a nasty delay when trying to open web pages, is this even DNS related?

For example, Ebay pages will take 15-30 secs to display/refresh which makes winning auctions extremly difficult.
Same with google, a search will take way to long to display, youtube etc all the same.

C:\Windows\system32>ping www.ebay.co.uk

Pinging hp-intl-uk.ebay.com [66.135.217.241] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 66.135.217.241:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

Don't know if the above means anything, I could be pinging wrong :o

The broswer will say waiting for ebay/google/youtube etc etc etc in the corner, gone are the days of instant page loads.
Anyone on BE with no problems care to share there DNS servers please and I shall give them a try.

If you've already tried a couple of different DNS servers it could likely be something else such as a routing issue.

I'd go and have a look / post on the beforum and see if anyone else in your area is having similar issues.

OK thanks guys, I was getting suspicious as my e-mail client (thunderbird) has even started timing out when trying to connect to my mail servers. So not a DNS issue, thanks for confirmation.
I will raise a ticket with BE* as they are usualy pretty good at resolving problems.
