DNS settings

Evening all,

Just need to check something. I have loads of domains registered with one company and with just started web hosting with another, (the one i have domains with was stupid money for hosting).

If I change the DNS settings of a domain can I get it to point to my new website hosted at the new place BUT keep the original dns mail settings?

Yes, as long as you're just modifying the records which point the website.

If you're shifting nameservers on the domain expect to have to recreate MX records to point to your mail server(s).

Yeah, just change the A records to point to you new hosting IP.
