Will a set of 19 inch M3 wheels from a 2008 car fit on a 120 convertible?

120 is a 2009 car.

I would imagine so - PCD will be the same so the only issue I can see would be the offset. Do you know the offset of the existing wheels and the new ones, and the width of both?

(or post up a pic of the two wheels so we can find out for you)

Personally, I think 19s on a 1 series is a no-no. :p

I'd have thought that with the difference in sizes, they might, but likely requiring arch work....but I'm not really up on wheel sizes etc.

Mark, I suspect that if they do it will be tight and you might find they foul on the bodywork.

The wheels are 2" wider than she has now but the offset is only 1" different, so you have an extra 1/2" each side of the wheel or so - which might mean they foul the arch going over bumps and stuff.

If you want to risk it you could buy them, try it and then move them on again if they don't fit - M3 alloys will always be in demand :)

EDIT: If the tread of the tyre protrudes from the bodywork at all it will fail an MOT even if it isn't fouling on the bodywork.

Right well she cant have them then, can you find her a smurfy looking set that do fit because if not i can see that it might be back to car change time again :)

Oh, I dunno what size to suggest btw. Here are some that are the same diameter and width as the M3 alloys above but with a different offset, actually fitted to a car rather than a photoshop: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491848

:dunno: Wheels are a personal thing, she'd be best looking through the site Invader linked to and seeing if she liked any of those I think

Yea they cost thousands i might as well let her get a ****ing Merc if i buy them, what else is there?

The M3 wheels are ET29 front and ET23 rear.
The 1 Series is ET47.

You might have rubbing issues or have them sticking out too far.
Alternatively, you might need spacers to push them out a bit.

Kim here i cant find any good ones or speak German!

Choose 1er from the dropdown on the top left, go to page 2 and 3 and have a look at the bigger ones there, they seem to get nicer as you go on...
