Do all "good" coolers bolt through the motherboard

side note:

i never " stick " the backplate on....just incase i change the motherboard and want to use the same cooler

How do you get it to stay in position while you install the motherboard back in the case?

I don't stick mine on neither. I just screw the cooler on before installing the motherboard into the case. Can be a bit more fiddly but it's worth it.

Have done this ever since I had to RMA a new motherboard and learnt my lesson!

Mr too. The tuniq glue is made from grated superman y-fronts.

Oh well, a hardcore 3.5ghz 1.6V session should see it hot enough

like faffer m8,i mount my water block on before installing the motherboard

ps. next time i change my mobo im going to cut a section away so i can mount any cooler/block without taking the motherboard out
