do any service providers take MMS's out of your text allowance?

Orange used to take my MMS's out of my (unlimited) text message allowance. it was very convenient.

I believe O2 used to, believe it used 2-3 of your standard free messages. Not sure if that's the same policy now or not

Hi all,

We don't take MMS out of your Text allowance, our Service Plans will highlight if you have inclusive MMS as they are applied as a separate bundle. There are various available depending on how many you use a month, if it's only a couple in the long run your probably better off just paying for the individual ones.

Hope this helps!

How does "Whatsapp" work?? Do both the sender and receiver need to have it installed??

Think of it as ICQ/MSN Messenger/AIM etc... works on any mobile OS and is free (for a year) and as it just sends the messages over your data connection they are free too. can be used to send pictures as well as text etc...

So the person you are sending to doesnt have to have it installed too and they just receive the pic like they would a normal text?? *edit* Ignore me, i misread your post - I read it as both handsets would need to have it installed!

Also, if its free for a year, what happens then - does it just stop until you pay for a full version or something??
