Do corded combi drills exist?

As above really.

We've got to fit a ton of plasterboard and we are going to use screws. Though in general. Its a whole house we are doing up.

However the drill nor battery won't get used for long periods in between (months). Last time we had a combi drill, the battery ended up dying totally.

So do they exist because I'm struggling to find them.

Thanks in advance.

You can get them, not cheap, not light to use & totally unsuitable for what you want to do, one example, the DeWalt D25113K SDS Plus is Combi Hammer Drill.
Better off with a good 18v cordless combi drill, from Makita, Bosch, etc.

Nothing wrong with cordless combi drills, I have several cordless combi, a new 18v Makita, & a old Bosch 18v combi, must be nearly 10 years old, still on it's original battery.

A lot of problems with the cheaper brands of cordless combi drills, is the quality of the battery, the nicad, had a lot of issues, the newer Li-Ion Battery are so much better.

When I had my appendicitis, my Makita 18v combi, wasn't used for nearly five months, when I came to use it,it's Li-Ion battery was still fully charged.

argos do an own brand corded drill with
reverse function , hammer drill/normal drill mode toggle
the trigger is pressure sensitive to so your not forced to go at full whack like you might expect from a cheapo drill.

I bought one purely to drill some holes in brickwork for some wallplugs and it worked brilliant.

it says 13mm drilling capacity for masonry but I went over a full inch deep

worth taking a gamble for £15 surely? if your not happy I'd imagine you could return it for a refund no probs
any screw bits you would need to buy separately though I grabbed a set from a pound shop and the extra drill bits for masonry to and they worked fine.

I don't see the point in spending a fortune on something if it's only going to ever be used maybe a couple of times a year

I should have made it clear I have my own normal Boschh drill for normally drilling. I thought they would manufactor something closer to say a Makita 18v Combi or even just impact driver in a corded form. Never mind.

Just a update. Ended up buying one.

Though I paid £112. Excellent piece of kit. Used it for drilling countless holes, screwed over 1500 screws and only required 4 battery charges so far.

Superb choice, even I have found the 18v Makita battery inpressive for it's endurance.

And thanks for the update, provides some feedback for others.:)

LOL, the 13mm is referring to the width of the drill bit not the depth.
