Thought I heard somewhere that surprisingly they actually do, I doubt it's by that much though.
It would be a resolution thing I would think. But yer the 4090 is a powerful gpu and need a a good cpu to keep up with it..
At 1080 the cpu will have no chance.
At 1440 is will be hit and miss
If you have a 4090 you really should be on 4k, I don’t see a use for the gpu under that res.
My 4080 runs everything I play maxed out at 1440 165hz
