Just wondering, do dentists (and orthadontists actually) no if you have been smoking?, just i heard they did. And would they actually mention it out loud even if someone you dont want to no is in the room?

PS: IM NOT A SMOKER!

When you say "aaahhhh" they can see right in to your lungs and see all the tar that has accumulated there over time. I kid you not.

Yes they do know.

Whether they'd mention it or not is up to them, but I never had a dentist mention it when I smoked.

So utterly dumb. If a smoker walks into a room everyone knows they're a smoker! Sure, i dont think someone sticking their head in your mouth and asking you to go 'ahh' would notice..

Actually yes lol, but not me, i dont smoke at all.

If your mate had one cigarette at a party I wouldn't worry, but if he smokes regularly then yes, the dentist will know. How old is he? If he's really young the dentist may mention it to his mum.

A girl I used to hang around with went to the Dentist when she was 15 and the Dentist asked her if she smoked outloud in front of her Mum.

Was quite a funny story, what a situation to be in. :p
