do different nvdia drivers affect fan control programs?

hi all im having trouble with my 8800 GTX using the Artic cooling extreme 8800 VGA cooler i used to be able to control fan control speed using various fan control programs ie: Rivatuner,gainwood exper tool and evga precision all of these programs worked changing fan control now none will work i have tryed everything uninstall , reinstall , deleted registry and i cant get the fan control to work and im stuck with the fan at a loud 100% do different sets of Nvdia drivers affect this?

yes as this has been a issue for me for quite a while now the more advice i can get the better is that wrong of me?
