Do earth directed CME's affect our behaviour

Got a keen interest in science and in particular solar weather, I have often wondered what if any affect massive swathes of energized particles could have on peoples behaviour.

For example, the London riots and what sparked off a massive country wide chaos, was actually accompanied by a double or triple whammy of massive solar activity and earth directed CME's.

There is also a noted correlation between car accidents, heart attacks, and CMEs/solar activity. We are fast approaching solar maxima in 2013, what are the possible consequences other than satellites shutting down temporarily?

Interestingly, we have a double CME cloud impact heading our way tonight, I often notice increased energy and even a bit of insomnia when these sorts of things occur.

Anyone else? thoughts?

this is General discussion so for most people that are sittting here thinking WTF?

Coronal mass ejections (CME) aka "the **** the sun spits out when it burps"

Do you log when you feel increased energy and then at a later date correlate with CME events or do you know there is a CME coming event and then feel increased energy?

Correlation don't necessarily mean anything.

CMEs contain mostly protons and electrons, of which most are deflected by the earth's magnetic field. If people were to become irradiated I don't think there behaviour would change that quickly, if at all. Is there any scientific study on the effect of radiation on human behaviour?

Astronauts and airline passengers are most at risk from radiation and we never see them going crazy.

Actually a lot of the particles will hit the poles and get absorbed by the earths atmosphere, the earth is coupled to the charge of its atmosphere, and we live in that atmosphere, whose to say it doesn't have a real effect on us all ?

Citation please. I have never heard of such a correlation. I've also heard people claim there's a correlation between full moons and criminal activity, which also turns out to be bunkum if you look at the data.

lol wat????

(FWIW you stated you have an interest in science - you seem to already be considering that these things do have an affect and are now adding to it with your own singular subjective experience. - I wouldn't place too much emphasis on whatever you mean by 'increased energy' or your bit of insomnia you're apparently experiencing)
