I am looking at routing a HDMI 2.1 cable through the wall in the 'man-cave' to allow seamless transition between my 55 inch OLED TV and Monitor as each one suits diffrent game times.

I can't see that any such thing yet exists except really expensive optic solutions? Is this right?

Pretty much yeah. If you are running anything above 7m or above then you want a fibre optic ideally especially if going in walls and around corners and even more so with a 2.1 version when the data will be a lot higher.

The new ruipro cable has just launched but it isn't cheap. However it does come with a life warranty and they will replace cable next day. One of the only companies to fully test the cable to the max limit as well. I've currently got their their 10m 2.0 one going into a switch and it works perfect with current sky uhd, Nvidia shield with Dolby vision and Atmos etc, I will probably look to upgrade when 120hz etc is a bit more main stream as do have a PS5 on order.

The new ones just launched on Amazon if you search
RUIPRO 8K HDMI Fibre Optic Cable. Won't be cheap however and price of their cables never tends to change.
