DO i buy another pair?

i have one pair of Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200XL XPERT TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 (MY-076-CS)

I want to add another gig really but do i buy another pair of this or ditch it and go with a 2gb pair?

I love this ram i love the 2-2-2-5 timing and i love the LCD screen!

You can pick up a 2GB set for cheaper than that 1GB set

. Look at the G.Skill 2GB ZX 2-3-2-5 1T @ 200mhz. £155. What I've got - great RAM. If you want some really good stuff, add the money you get from selling your current lot and get Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3500LL Pro TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 (MY-093-CS).

Even with that FX, your RAM will only run @ DDR400 2T max with 4 sticks (the shortfall of the AMD memory controller).

Get your posts up a bit and I'm sure someone in the members market will take that 1GB kit of your hands for a reasonable amount m8 - 2gb is the way to go

2T is a serious performance drop from 1T. It also puts your mem controller under a lot of strain running 4 sticks reducing the overclock.

Personally, forget the aesthetics and go for performance. You always want 1T over 2T. It really is that bad IMHO, especially when easily avoided. Plus you will save money going for 2GB kits than buying another 1GB kit.

I doubt 4 sticks would even fit tbh, they are huge
