Hi there, I currently have a Samsung LE40M87 LCD TV, and have seen the deal to get the Panny PX80 for £450 with some vouchers I have got for Christmas. The Samsung isnt a bad set, but there are problems with green clouding and motion blurring issues. The main uses will be PS3, SD TV, and some HD and SD viewing via PC. So do I change from LCD to Plamsa?

Thanks in advance!

I'm in the exact same position as you. I have the same tv and want the PX80 for the same reasons as you!

If you don't mind me asking, how are you getting rid of your Samsung? Or are you keeping it? Just I want to sell my M87 to fund the PX80.

Think a friend is going to have mine. I dont know if I will regret losing the extra pixels later on down the line.

Trying to sell a TV is harder than it sounds. Especially locally, dont want to post this heavy beast! :)

I dont think the pixels will matter, because the only thing that is true 1080p HD is Blu-Rays and depending on your viewing distance, you won't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p on Blu-ray.

SkyHD broadcasts in 720p (well actually 1080i, but can be set to 720p). As does Virgin's HD channel. It will be quite awhile before 1080p will be broadcasted, cause a very small percentage of the population have SkyHD and it wouldn't be cost effective for Sky to broadcast 1080p until loads LOADS more people sign up to HD.
