Do I go and see the Maccabees tonight?

I see that the Maccabees are playing near me tonight (30 mins away).

Now I went up to Bristol to see Maximo Park last night, went straight from work and didn't get in 'till early morning so am pretty shattered.

But I have tomorrow off work.

The gig won't cost me anything to get in, do I go? :)
 
What was the gig like last night then mate?. I was also at the Maximo Park gig on Monday pure class. Still feeling the effects of that night just looking forward to the cribs gig now. :)
 
maccabees are awesome.. saw them not so long back in birmingham academy 2 - seeing them again in wolvo soon... i think!

and if you think thats knackering...

Last night: Australian Pink Floyd
Tonight: off to some club in birmingham!
Thursday: Maximo
Friday: Friends 21st
Saturday: Friends 19th
Sunday: Football match... dependant on condition!
Monday: Klaxons
Tuesday: Roger Waters
Wednesday: The Wombats
Thursday: Sunshine Underground


yeah im gonna sleep the week after...
also the above week days involve being in work at 7am... waking up at 5am :(... or maybe not sleeping at all!
ohhh i should rly check dates before i buy tickets for all these things!

Think i'm booking my tickets for the Saturday of o2 wireless today.
 
Busy week then mate, but you only live once... :cool:

Sunshine Underground are class going to see them soon in Bristol. Not going to any festivals this year so trying to see as many bands as I can.

Just a shame Bristol has a no big venue, sucks going to Cardiff and Birmingham all the time. :mad:

Yeah the Maximo Park was pretty good I thought, not been to the bristol academy before and it was a nice venue.
 
Went to see Maximo Park last night and they were brilliant. Put on a very good show. When I went to see the Maccabees I left after 3 songs but that was only because i was so ratted and I wanted to get into a club.
 
my friend is doing photography for maximo on thursday, so might get to go backstage after :) yey!

when i saw maccabees they had 2 fairly pants support bands... Talking Taxis... extream crap they were, and Good Books... who live, sound pants! but their recorded stuff isnt too bad!

It is a very good venue, just a shame it's not a bit bigger. Few idiots near the front were doing my head in. :mad:

They just wanted to beat the crap out of people than actually listen to the music. I know it's a gig and all and I dont really have a problem with it, I'm like it sometimes but not at a Maximo gig for christ's sake.

Yeah we saw that and laughed thinking why oh why...

We were up on the raised bit by the bar, but right at the front by the fence bit overlooking the guys doing the sound/lights so had a really good unobstructed view and no hassle :)

Saw Maximo in Nottingham and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Absolutely love the Park live, I'd recommend them to anyone tbh :)

Art Brut were really good supporting them too.

Not going to mention Das Wanderlust, other than they weren't my cup of tea.

I lolled hard when the woman from Das Wanderlust opened her mouth to sing the first song, just wasn't expecting it! Some of the tunes they played were atually not bad at all, the vocals spoilt it though.

Art Brut were ace, had only heard one of their tracks before and when they walked on stage looking at them I was thinking oh dear, but they seemed really nice :)
