Or is there anything holding me back significantly that a swap slight upgrade would help with?

I have

AMD AM2 6000+ @ 3.0GHz 2x1MB cache
PC5400 2GB Ram
Asus M2N-E
WD Raptors 36GB x2 in RAID 0 configuration
BFG 8800 GTS OC2

I was thinking that e.g while playing Lost Planet that perhaps by upgrading the RAM to PC6400 I might notice an improvement? Or shouldn't I bother?

Upgrading the RAM to slightly faster speeds isnt worthit and tbh your barely notice the difference in game, is it the 320 or 640 GTS card?

As truebluecfc says upgrading the Ram won't make any difference unless you are then overclocking (as it would allow you to overclock further) but this depends very much on what the CPU and cooling is capable of also.

Overclocking is the cheapest and easiest boost you are likely to get although I don't know how good that motherboard is for overclocking. :)

I'm starting to think it's slightly terrible for overclocking:/
