Do I Have a CPU bottle neck?

Just got myself a copy of BFBC2 and set the graphics options to "high". I was only getting around 24fps in the very first part of the game.

I am gaming at 1920x1200
Graphics cards = 2 GTX 260 core 216's
CPU = AMD Athlon X2 6000+ 3ghz

For dual gpu's I would say your CPU is a bottleneck, BC2 likes a quad CPU big time as well.

That would seem to be case.

Time to upgrade to i5 750 or i7 930. But since you want SLI, you should just go i7 considering cheapest socket 1156 board that would support SLi/xfire would cost around £140 so you ain't actually saving much money on getting a i5 750 instead of i7 930.

I wondered how long it would be until someone tried to make me buy i5/i7 lol... I do appreciate your advice but i'll just do a BIOS upgrade and drop in a PhenomII

If you certain your motherboard can do it, then sure. But check to make sure it can run am3 CPU properly, if not, just grab a Phenom II X4 940 (am2+ CPU).
