As i mentioned other day. I have ordered a rig, which was due today or tomorrow. Now around 11-12 days since ordered(discounting weekends). Suppose to take 7-8 days(2 days later website changed to 8-9 days after i ordered to the time it would arrive as standard).

I ring up last week, asking if system be ready that week(after no reply from 2 e-mails for days), he says defo be with me by Wednesday(of this week). He then answers e-mail after phonecall.

And i quote the e-mail

your system is expected to leave our store on Monday or Tuesday of next week and will be with you the following day

Anyway, no e-mail yesterday or today, i just ring up asking whats up. He now tells me the HD 5770 is out of stock and due today at latest tomorrow.

Why did he not mention it was out of stock last week, i ordered over 2 weeks ago, so he saying been out of stock everywhere???

Thats the only card that has been in stock of the DX11 cards, i wanted the HD 5850 but as this site said be 3 week delay due to no stock, i settled for 5770. Now that is out of stock.

Anyway if order not shipped tomorrow like promised, can i cancel the whole order and ask for refund.

Im getting annoyed now with them.

This is not with OCUK by the way.

to be honest if you the cash has been reserved for release from your bank then it wouldnt be worth your while to cancel as you would have to wait a few days before its available again to order somewhere else :p

I'd rather cancel it, then wait more days, then order a better one after crimbo. He has had more than long enough.

I would still cancel, if the service is this bad before release can you imagine if you have a problem with they system later?

The service does seem a bit stretched right now.

I ordered an overclocked bundle which they said they would email me when ready to collect, I never recieved one I just called in on spec at it had been ready for a few days..

I emailed help and supports 2 days ago about it not being stable and so far the only reply has been try the other overclock profile which I'd already done.

I know they do get very busy, when I used to go to the old shop at this time of year it was usually packed.

As i said i never ordered with OCUK.

I make it long odds on my order aint shipped tomorrow, as i don't buy the out of stock line, hope for my sake im wrong, but i doubt it.:o

A flaw in the rigidly enforced no anti ocuk rule is that it's often impossible to tell if the question relates to an ocuk order or not. As such ocuk miss out on some potentially valuable feedback. Still, their board, their rules.

Fwiw I'd have cancelled. You were well within rights to as they had failed to deliver goods within the agreed time period. I'd have been annoyed that they hadn't contacted me with an apology and explanation for the delay without prompting, and very annoyed to be ignored after the delivery date had passed. If a business is a bit rubbish while you're giving them money, it takes considerable optimism to believe they'll be good if there's any issues with the hardware later on. Good luck.

You still have your DSR rights to return it with no fee within 7 days of receipt (you still have to pay for postage to send it back of course) so if it doesn't live up to expectations then you haven't really lost much ^_^
