Do i have enough juice?

Hi all, im hoping you guys can give me some advice regarding my PSU?

Im looking at getting This

This

And That

and was wondering if my PSU (in sig) will be enough.

Trying to save as much cash as i can here so hoping it's not an immediate necessity. I've only got a 400Gb WDC, LG Blu-Ray RW Sony DVD RW.

Oh and would the Corsair H50 be much better than the Megahalems?

Yes it probably would be as long as you don't stress test often.

IMO the Corsair H50 would be worse than the Megahalems.

Not into stress testing whatsoever fella, just looking to get myself fixed up with a decent system that will play most modern games and might last me a couple of years.

Dunno... Sounds borderline with an overclocked i7 and a 300 watt graphics card.

If you have that much cash to blow...

Psu is more then fine for that setup.

Ha, this thing is going to dent my wallet enough as it is, so im ideally looking to use what i can from my prev build.

And for every purchase i make, i've got the wife giving me a seriously hairy eyeball :mad:

so spending more clams just isn't an option.

The 570 doesn't use 300 Watts, it only has a 2x 6 pin PCI-E power connectors so theoretically can only draw 225W and be within specification.

So based on that a 600W PSU will be fine, you'll likely push 450W-500W with it when Prime95 and Furmarking, maybe 350W or thereabouts in game.

I'd stick with the Megahalems, it's a damn good cooler. But... if you really wanna throw another £60 and have the Mega sitting around then by all means do, either way you're gonna have decent cooling for the CPU!

How old is the PSU btw? It's powerful enough but if it's a couple years old then maybe just throw some money at that too.... Only lookin at £100 and it might be better to upgrade that than replace the cooler that comes with the bundle?
