Do I have to install Vista first for a dual boot?

Basically Ive got XP on one drive and Vista on another.

XP was installed first but Ive now put Vista onto a different drive on the same computer and I can no longer boot into XP.

I can see all the drives in the bios fine but no matter what boot priority I give them Vista boots without giving me the option for XP.

Have I got to re-format the XP drive and re-install it (dont mind doing that at all btw) or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Mobo is an MSI P35 Neo2 FR if its any help.

can u press F12 or summit on bios screen and select your XP HDD to boot, I think theres a program called EasyBSD where u can alter the vista boot loader.

When you installed vista you should have been given the option to configure this.

have you checked the entries in boot.ini

Haven't checked the boot.ini but will tonight, what should I be looking for in that file?

However I wasn't given the option to set anything up except for the usual format drives etc.

Sounds like I've perhaps done somethings wrong then. Will also try the F12 press.
