Do i have to tweak anything on the 360 to get good upscaled DVD playback?

does it affect regular DVD playback? i heard the 360 upscaled DVDs?

Hummm... you sure? I am pretty sure mine does and its through component. DVD's look amazing...

but thats for HD DVD
The same applies to SD DVD. Technically it could do it over component they just arent allowed to. There are exceptions but most dvd players that can upscale wont allow it.

Press the native screen size when your playing a DVD, you should find the picture shrinks as it runs at a std 576i resolution. The TV is doing the scaling only.
