I'm buying a new rig soon with a GTX 670 or 680 in it. I'll be playing BF3, SC2, D3 along with various other games on highest possible settings. I'm looking for a 22"-24" monitor, do I just need to go for a low response time?

Is it worth paying the extra for a 120hz monitor or just going with something cheaper? I'm not interested in it being 3D at all, I won't use it.

Cheers!

Considering you will be playing some fast-paced games and you are spending a lot of money on a graphics card then I would would certainly consider going for a 120Hz monitor.

The Samsing 23in 120Hz (S23A700D) is a good value, good quality 120Hz monitor (plus you can claim the VAT back from samsung), while the BenQ 24in XL2420T is a but more expensive, but also a but larger and widely considered to be one of the very best 120Hz monitors currently available.

Yes 120hz is well worth the 80-100 extra pounds especially when using a high end card you may aswell allow it to use it's full potential rather than being locked at 60fps constant or get excessive tearing. In my view if you buying a high end card, you buy a 120hz or 1440p monitor too(depending on your uses/preferences) otherwise you are hindering yourself.BF3 is amazing on 120hz....so so smooth and motion is brilliant like the soldiers movements look totally realistic now or debris flying around looking clear not blurry.

Thanks for the quick replies, both those monitors look amazing so will have to see what happens with the cost of my build. Will most likely be the Samsung due to the VAT offer though!
