Do I need a "3G sim"? [HTC Desire on O2]

Hello

Sorry for this simpleton question, but can't seem to find a straight answer.

I can connect to G and H networks, but I've never connected to 3G. Could this mean I don't have a 3G sim card? I know it may be that 3G isn't available in this area, but I read on the O2 forums that some people need new sims.

If you've only ever seen H you're a lucky man! H is enhanced 3G.

Is there E? Because I think I sometimes see E instead of 3G. I don't remember it that clearly, could be H.

I looked at my sim card and it had '3GD5' on the bottom. Which apparently means it is 3G capable. I also assume if I can get 'H', I can get '3G', I'm just not in a 3G area.

As reflux stated earlier, H is enhanced 3g, so essentially- you are using 3g right now.. it's just better.
