Building a new PC for the first time in years, just waiting for all the components to arrive. My question is do I still need a floppy drive? is it still essential for BIOS flashing (have a DS4) and creating a windows start-up disc or are CD's supported these days?

thanks
I think I've kinda found my answer. Think I have a USB floppy somewhere in the house and I might even be able to throw away my backup PS2 keyboard

Don't get an internal floppy drive. They're ugly and their associated cables are huge. If you decide you must have one for BIOS flashing/recovery purposes/etc. I recommend getting a USB drive. They're compact and portable and you'll find loads of uses for one. I love mine. :)

EDIT: It seems my comment is redundant. ;)

Well for a Fiver it don't do any harm - especially for some raid drivers?
U can leave it loose inside the case just bringing it out during Blue Moons. :)
