Hi Good Folks...This is a bit LONG winded I'm afraid, but I hope you'll read it and give me good Sound Advice.
I been using a OCZ 80 plus Bronze 650W psu for around 6 years now. Has a 5 year warranty.
It has been running Excellently all this time. (still is). BUT! I now got lots more stuff plugged into my PC than ever before. (It still Works) so far. Here is what I now have inside the tower and Outside. What I have is in my Signature.
Inside-7 SATA peripherals. 4 x HDD + 1 SSD, 1 CD/DVDReader, 1 CD/DVDWriterReader. 1 NVIDIA GTX1050Ti graphics card Low profile.(new) OUTSIDE--I have 4xUSB 2.0 connectors in front (not all used at same time). At rear on tower I have 6 usb 3.0. Also 4 usb 2.0 from PCI-e. I also have a PCIe eSATA. OK, now for the Bewildering bit. lol.
I have 5 usb printers attached, all never switched off, but ONLY one is ever used at once. I have 3x External HDD, of which one gets switched on to transfer things from the main PC. I have had two on at once plus one open from PC. I also have a Enterprise 4x 4 bay External Enclosure run on my eSATA as Photo backups.(only switched on when doing backups) PHEW!!!! I also have a 4 bay Yottamaster External USB with two HDD inside as Backups.(New this week) I did have 4 hdd open yesterday to swap files over. I also got a EASYACC with 4 usb's attached to it. (never used at same time as others. I Also got a 4 Port USB Gigabit Network Server Not attached to PC only to Router with 2 printers attached. Also Plugged in is my Speakers x4 & Subwoofer.
To sum up--PC is switched on at moment with only Internet/Keyboard/mouse being used.
Later I'll open one HDD, plus Lightroom & Photoshop.
Sometime today or in the week I will have the above open plus another HDD. NOT ALL are being used at same time as I would need a 55" Monitor to see all open folders LOL......ANYWAY!
Do I need a bigger PSU of say 800W size of 5.9"(W)x3.4"(H)x6.9"(L). Or is this one OK. Not doing another Self Build or Ready-build until next year maybe. Cost is too high at moment.
I am a Photographer and I do a LOT of photography. I do NOT do Gaming.
MANY THANKS. (Dennis)
