Hi everyone

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but I couldn't see one just for graphics cards.
I am not a computer noob so hope I am reasonably intelligent with regards hardware generally, but have never been able to get my head around graphics cards and what the numbers mean.

This is my present quandary:

I am playing Guild Wars 2 on a 200MB cable connection (Virgin Media) and find the game can be very jerky. By the time my char has responded to a command to turn or fire - I'm often dead. Precision actions are at best hit and miss. It's like having perma-super lag. I am not currently playing any other games so can't use a comparison but in all other respects the pc works extremely well. Also, I play on another pc at a friend's house with a 100MB connection and have absolutely no issues whatsoever. Sadly, I have forgotten to check what graphics card is installed there - I will have a look later.

So, with there having been updates and an expansion on this game since starting to play on this pc set-up I have now, and another expansion due in around 4 weeks, I am wondering if my card is now below spec for a decent response? I've got no idea what the best upgrade option would be, so have given my graphics card and motherboard details below - hoping someone who understands these might be able to offer advice!

Currently I have (details taken from Speccy)

Pretty sure you've listed your onboard GFX on the CPU - what is your GFX card spec or is that what you're using?

If you don't have a dedicated GFX card then a installing one would make a big difference - but we would need to know the brand/model age of your PSU as power may be an issue depending on the unit.

As you only play Guild Wars 2 from a quick google an RX 460/GTX1050 would probably do the job.
