do i need a new psu to run this

got a 8800gt on the way but just looked at my psu and it says i only have 16amps on the 12volt rail even though its a 500w power supply is 16 amps enough to run this card if not will this one

33a on 12volt is loads sounds like a good psu,i have one more question if i was to try the card on my psu first would it hurt the card if the is not enough amps could my pc explode or anything.
