I've been having a few probs with my new Sapphire x1950pro 512mb agp. After RMAing it I was told that it's ok. The main trouble I have is whilst playing World of Warcraft. I can generally play for 5-10 minutes, then the screen will freeze, music will loop, then all goes dark
and I have to manually reset. When the card came back last week, I managed to play for 3 hours continually and had to go out. when I came back I got 5-10 minutes play before crash. I ran 3DMark03, starting at lowest setting, then gradually increasing them. That crashed in exactly the same way after my third increase.
I've tried Omega drivers as well as official ATI ones. (Followed instructions about proper uninstalling them too).
Got 2GB of Geil value RAM today and running them in dual channel mode.
Atm. I've got a friends 6600GT in, and that can run WoW for hours with no troubles. Basically, I'm now pulling out what's left of my hair. The only thing I can think of is maybe I need a new PSU. Any ideas folks?
Here's my spec (and yes, I know it's old
)

There are two molexes on my PSU marked HDD/VGA, I'm wondering, as this PSU was made before 2 molexes were required to run graphic cards, and bearing in mind, I'm finding it hard to understand voltages/rails etc(so please don't be too hard on me), would both of these molexi be running off the same rail? If I used just one of these blue ones and a normal white one instead, would this solve my problems? I've been told my PSU is man enough for the job, but is it?
I really am at the end of my limited tecchy knowledge and am totally stumped. Can any of you clever people please help this old idiot.
