I'm going to upgrade my graphics card in the new future to either an 8800GT 512MB or a 8800GTS 512MB, or possibly even a GTX, bt that's unlikely. The setup will be as follows:

- [email protected]
- Asus P5N-E SLi
- Geil 2GB PC6400 DDR2
- 2 Sata HDD's and 1 external on usb
- OCZ Modstream 450W
- plus one of the above cards

Now I can see that the weak link here is the PSU, I don't really have enough to buy a big one so if I was to get one it would probably be the corsair 520/550W, so come next upgrade it wont be good enough so i'll have to replace it agian. So ideally I want to stick with my OCZ but is this pushing my luck, or should it be ok? I've used a few of those online power calculators and it says around 400W should be ok but I just wanted to get your guys views?

Thanks.

How old is the PSU? If it is fairly new then it should be fine but since they become less efficient with age I'd be a bit more wary if it was more than a year or so old. :)

It's about 7 months old. So do you reckon I should be alright to keep my current PSU?

Thanks for the replies.
