Do I need a new PSU?

Hi guys,

I have a Corsair RM550 PSU and currently have it running an R9 290, an SSD and a mechanical drive along with the rest of the usual bits.

I'm looking to get another SSD for games and replace the 290 with a 1080 when they're released. Do you think i'm going to have enough power for these changes? Should I get a 650w PSU do you think?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The 1080 uses less power than a 290, you will be better of power wise with the swap.

No you will be fine, the 1080 only require 1 8pin power connector.
