Hello, I have recently bought a new GPU and CPU for my PC and wondering if my power supply is enough to properly run them as I am getting a lot of buzzing sounds which im guessing is coil whine since i installed them.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: Geforce RTX 2070 Super
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS B450-F
RAM: 32gb 3200mhz DDR4 Ram
PSU: Corsair CX850m

Thanks!

a lot of experienced people on here say the CX range is one of Corsairs lower end models of their range...

How long have you had the PSU?

Even if the PSU is lower end, it should still have enough juice to easily power that system. On paper it could basically run two of them at the same time. It also shouldn't be putting out enough ripple to cause whine unless it is faulty.

Does the buzzing happen all the time? I get some coil whine on very high frame rate things, limited to certain benchmarks. This has happened with basically every system I've owned. It's never happened during normal use or gaming though.

As above, I used to get crazy whine in menu screens where the FPS went through the roof - use v-sync in game or cap frame rate to something sensible in the graphics card driver.
