Do I need a new TV?

I bought a Panasonic 32" TV about 18 months ago but I've recently noticed that white objects on screen seem to have a purple haze around them, kinda like looking at a 3D image but without wearing the glasses. I can barely read the white text on the cable TV menus

I thought it was the scart lead but it's there all the time, even when there's no scart connected.

Any ideas?

You havnt put any speakers near your TV have you.. seen purple haze on televisions caused by the old speakers nearby!

The centre channel speaker is on top of the TV but it's always been there since I bought it and the purple haze is new
