I've had my 9070XT Sapphire Pulse for a good 4 months plus now, been doing great performance wise for sure.

Do I need a sag bracket for it though, when I look at it from the outside it does not seem to be sagging at all whatsoever.

However, when I press up and apply pressure on the further side it seems like it can be pushed it quite a bit and could be straighter so I'm really not sure.

I threw away the original sag bracket that comes with it like an idiot the horizontal mount thingy

Thanks have a nice day!

I used mine because it's a massive heatsink, and even with a reinforced PCIE slot on the motherboard, it's a heavy card to leave unsupported. They supply one free with the card for a reason, so you might as well use it.

Speak for yourself, I'm feeling pretty saggy after reading this thread. :(
Got myself one from the bay for aboot £5 bargain.

Is the strap that comes included with the 9070xt better or worse than a normal gpu sag bracket with adjustable height I got?

As long as they do the same job, ie support that far end that sags, it doesn't really matter. The early brackets were basically some sort of telescopic leg that props up the far end. The ones that came with the Sapphire are are very nice L-bracket that runs under the card and holds the far end by canterlevering off where the PCIE slot covers screw in. The Sapphire also has a nice backplate that helps with rigidity, but it's a heavy, long card hanging far off the back of the case and far out from the PCIE slot. Even on a motherboard with a reinforced slot, it still just feels like it really needs the extra support to me.

The one that came with my xfx is just a basic one but I used it anyway as its a hefty old card... My top pcie socket is metal reinforced anyway but still.. May as well use one.

I've seen photos online of people using all sorts of stuff though, Lego stilts, pokemon figures etc lol.

As long as it takes a bit of the pressure off I don't suppose it really matters what you use.
