Do I need a USB cable?

I want to order a Canon MX850. How do I know if I need to get a USB cable or not to connect it to my PC?

It should tell you. Normally you dont get them. Surely you have some spares lying about. Phone up the e-tailer and ask.

A supplier says you don't get a cable. What type do I need? They talk about USB cables but there seem to be USB, USB 2.0 and also I saw a picture where one end of the cable had a different adaptor to the other!

Anyone know?

Printers don’t generally come with a cable. A USB printer cable does indeed have a different type of end for going into the printer, like this:

As mark43 says, thats the cable you will need.

A-B

The thin end goes into your PC, and the other goes to the printer.
