Hi, basically i have a bit of money coming in and i'm looking at upgrading my computer setup. Currently i have the following:
amd 8350
16gb ram
samsung 830 128gb
2tb hybrid sshd
Asus 7870
2 22" 1080p monitors
Current uses are light gaming, games like civ, wow, eve. Video making, uni work (programming, vmware for kali linux) and streaming.
I'm wondering if i would be able to grab a 970 for this system and then buy a new monitor either super wide or 4k. Would this allow for GTA V in either 3440x1440 or 4k. I know the 8350 is an ok cpu but it gets lower fps than an i7 4790k and would the 8350 cause a bottleneck. My only complaint about upgrading to a 4790k is that next year skylake/line (which ever it is) is due in the next year or so, so i would like the wait for that and in the mean time put the money into a monitor.
Heres what i'm looking at upgrade wise:

Would either of those setups be ideal with the 8350 or would i be better grabbing an i7 4790k baring in mind that skylake is coming out soon
