Just been on extreme power supply calculator and entered my specs with my max possible cpu clock with whole system at 100% load and it gives the result below, should i be worried?? I know i have a good psu but i dont want it at its limit when i'm benching .
What do you think?

Minimum PSU Wattage: 876 W

PSU Wattage: * 926w

That Wattage seems very high for the spec. in your signature, is there something significant missing?

The FOC version of the calculator doesn't tell the whole story as it doesn't split up the expected loads on each rail. There must be some assumption in there as to how an average PSU will handle the loads on different rails.

Some PSUs will allow almost all of the rated Wattage to be pulled on the 12v rail(s), others will only allow for a smaller proportion with the rest only available on the 5v and 3.3v rails where it can't really be used.

My '700W' PSU for example only has something like 550W available on the 12v rails. Yours should have almost all of it on the 12v rails though, because yours isnt a re-branded 650W Sirtec :D

If the rig is the one in your sig, the PSU calculator would seem to be being extremely cautious. If you've got no stability issues with your current PSU I wouldn't worry.

When i'm benching its saying my cpu alone uses over 300w, and my ltg is on max volts also, 9 fans, D5 pump, 1 ssd, 1hdd, optical.
In the scenario where i'm pushing i dont want to be on the edge.

Buy yourself a plug in power meter, stick your pc on full load (kombuster and linx both at the same time) and see what you are pulling from the wall. I doubt that a 3820 and a single 7970 will come anywhere near 500w let alone 850w. Even when i had a GTX480 i only managed 400w from the wall by doing the above.

You were only pulling 400W with an OC'd i5 and an induction furnace?

Yep, thats both furmark and linx running at the same time too. Normal gaming load was 320-340w. That was at the wall so actual draw from the components to the psu would have been a bit less. People really over estimate how much power they actually need.
